Especially as a female solo traveler,ย making sure your destinations are safe is a top priority. Luckily Europe is one of the safest places to travel alone. It claimed eight of the top 20 safest cities in the world according to The Economist‘s Safe Cities Index 2017, more than any other continent on the list. I combined results from the Safe Cities Index 2017, SafeAround’s Safety Index, and my own personal experience to create this list. Check out the 7 safest places to travel alone in Europe below!

6. Berlin, Germany
What Makes It Safe
Berlin‘s public transportation is safe and efficient, there are no natural hazards, and it is generally very safe for female travelers, making it one of the safest places to travel alone in Europe.
